However you need to purchase a temporary liability insurance to temporarily import your vehicle. There are several places where you can buy them at the border, but don&#8217;t use the first booth and avoid touts. There is an insurance company in Erevan, Ingo, <a href=\"https:\/\/ingoarmenia.am\/insurance_type\/motor\/?lang=en\">that askes 0,0061% to 3,3%<\/a> (of the bikes value?) for a third party insurance. Another option is to arrange it beforehand via <a href=\"https:\/\/aswa.am\">ASWA<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Border crossings<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Only the border crossings with Iran and Georgia are open for foreigners. To go from <strong>Armenia into Iran<\/strong>, see the <a href=\"https:\/\/overlandproject.upwindwebdesign.nl\/index.php\/2023\/08\/02\/iran-overlanding\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"458\">border crossings into Iran<\/a>. There are three border crossings from <strong>Georgia into Armenia<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bagratashen \u2013 Sadakhlo<\/strong> on the main road between Erevan and Tbilisi.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gogovan &#8211; Guguti<\/strong> which is partly a dirt road and quite scenic, according to Caravanistan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bavra \u2013 Ninotsminda<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Privolnoe &#8211; Akhkerpi<\/strong> the smalles and least used border crossing.
